Write a haiku and Ann Marie Fleming will make you a short animated film!
AMF's stickgirl has been busy exploring her brand new iPhone and wanted your help in developing her very own free, collaborative poetry application. This application will work like a snow-globe oracle: ask stickgirl a BIG LIFE question, shake the iPhone, letters will float through the air, settling to form a haiku, based on your query. Stickgirls will then interpret the poem, and tell you your fortune, leaving the reader with a pear of uplifting daily wisdom. In order for this app to be successful we need a lot of poetry.
We invited everyone to submit their original haikus.
The winning entry was selected by a 16 member interdisciplinary jury on October 25 in Vancouver after a very lively discussion.
